Where to Find the Best Sushi in Leeds City Centre

Where to Find the Best Sushi in Leeds City Centre

Leeds
I love sushi, I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and not get sick of it (I think). It's also my go-to hangover food, which a lot of people find odd, but the freshness of the fish, the stodgy rice and the salty soy sauce offer the perfect combination for recovering from having one too many. Here's my guide to finding the best sushi in Leeds.
Hong Kong: Things to Do (Part 2)

Hong Kong: Things to Do (Part 2)

Hong Kong
Let's pick up where we left off in part 1 of my Hong Kong itinerary, where I spoke about my first three days exploring Stanley, Central, the Zoological Gardens, Victoria Peak, Lantau, Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui and the night markets. Here's what I got up to on days 4 - 6 to give you even more suggestions of things to do in Hong Kong!

Hi, I'm Nell. I’m a Leeds based travel blogger creating content to inspire you to make the most of your weekends, limited annual leave and hard-earned cash by writing about part-time, mid-budget travel. Here you'll find posts about city breaks, hiking trips and tales of food and wine.

Hong Kong: An Itinerary (Part 1)

Hong Kong: An Itinerary (Part 1)

Hong Kong
Hong Kong had never really been on my bucket list, rather I spontaneously agreed to a trip there whilst under the influence of one too many gin and tonics. This meant that I didn't know much about Hong Kong and what my my itinerary would be when I got there. I'd be travelling with my close friend Aliss so, once flights were booked, we spent many a Sunday afternoon in the pub discussing what we wanted to see and do during our trip and getting increasingly excited. Our only problem? How on earth would we fit everything in to just six days?!

The Best Restaurants in Leeds City Centre

The Best Restaurants in Leeds City Centre

Leeds
We are absolutely spoilt for restaurants in Leeds. Whichever cuisine you fancy and whatever your budget, the issue is never finding a suitable place to dine but rather deciding between the endless options. On top of that, there seems to be somewhere new opening every week, so even when you think you've tried it all you're suddenly no longer an expert. To help with matters, I've come up with a list of my favourite Leeds restaurants. If you're visiting for the weekend or you're hungry and can't decide where to eat, read on!
7 Things To Do in Cluj Napoca

7 Things To Do in Cluj Napoca

Cluj
Cluj-Napoca (or Cluj) is situated in the Transylvanian region of Romania, and it has everything you could want from a European city break. I visited in September and weather was gorgeous, so my long weekend consisted of wandering around in the sunshine, eating gelato and drinking plenty of cold wine on sunny cobbled streets.
Holy SH*T: A Beginner’s Guide to Underground Pro Wrestling

Holy SH*T: A Beginner’s Guide to Underground Pro Wrestling

Leeds
All I knew about wrestling was that it's choreographed (which I thought meant fake) and that men wearing lycra had to throw each other around a ring and pin their opponent to the floor for 3 seconds to win. It turns out there's so much more to it, and actually it's a really fun night out that I would highly recommend! Here's my beginners guide to Underground Pro Wrestling for those who want an unusual night out in Leeds and want to know what to expect.
Finding the Best Food in Hong Kong

Finding the Best Food in Hong Kong

Hong Kong
I'm not going to claim to be an expert on what to eat in Hong Kong and where to eat it as I was only there for six days, but I do want to demonstrate the huge range of cuisine and inspire any foodies to visit Hong Kong and discover the wonderful fusion of eastern and western deliciousness. So, here's a post all about the best food that I ate in Hong Kong.
A Steamy Day Out at the KWVR Beer Festival

A Steamy Day Out at the KWVR Beer Festival

Leeds
Any of you who have family, especially parents, that don't live in the same part of the country, or even world, as you will have experienced the stress of trying to find something to do when they come to visit. Often you might have a parent who wants to visit some museums and understand the history of where you live, whilst the other parent wants to explore the countryside. And then throw in a sister/boyfriend/cousin/grandmother who would rather just go to the pub and it can be rather tricky!
Trekking Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn

Trekking Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn

nce a year my dad and I make time for a hiking holiday together. Sometimes this is in the UK (Hadrian's Wall, The West Highland Way and Coast to Coast have been our favourites) and sometimes we venture further afield. Recently, we completed a 'best of' version of the Mont Blanc to Matterhorn trek where we enjoyed some quality daddy-daughter time.
5 Reasons to Make Eastern Europe Your Next Holiday Destination

5 Reasons to Make Eastern Europe Your Next Holiday Destination

Leeds
When friends ask me for recommendations for a weekend away in Europe, it's always hard to pick one place, especially as everyone has different tastes and therefore what might suit one friend wouldn't suit another. But there does tend to be one common theme in my recommendations and that is they are all in Eastern Europe.
